Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu started out as a new adventure for myself and as a platform for growth and self defense for my children, quickly turned into a life application for my whole family. As a long tenured military member, BJJ has become so important for stress management and overall mental and physical health. The family culture that BJJ fosters is one of brother and sisterhood, earning your keep, humility, respect and combat. Our whole family is thriving, and this BJJ family at Ground-Up is so special to us. I hope to continue to help coach the youth, grow as a practitioner and to work with the Veteran and disabled community to spread the amazing benefits and culture of BJJ.
